"This feeling is so..." Tai blinked a few times, and looked around. He was no longer in the dessert with his friends, he no longer felt funny either. He stumbled around for a moment, feeling his strength starting to return to his body. looking up into the sky, he finally realised with disappointment where he was. "What?" he said to no one in particular. "Why am I back here? I thought I finally had escaped and returned home."
Indeed Tai was back in the Celestial Spirit World, unknown to him his body would automatically return here when it was drained much like any other Celestial Spirit, though as of yet Tai had not realised this is what he had become. He let out a sigh and looked around. "Well at least I have a head start on last time, I know roughly where the door is now at least." He began to wonder if there was a quicker way to return, didn't the Celestial Spirits do it all the time? Though maybe that was due to there keys, and contracts with Celestial Spirit Mages. Tai absently stroked at the key hanging around his neck as he began to walk through this spirit world.

At first glance, one ma think they were in an underground cavern, but all around this area was candles donning eternal blue flames. As Tai made his reappearance to what was now his home, he would find a small conglomerate of other people surrounding him, not necessarily in a rush but more so as if they knew he was coming back, but relieved nonetheless. There were two petite twin girls, both with red hair. There was a balding old man in a brown petty coat. Then there was a girl around Tai's age (appearance wise) with long blond hair. Each one of them had bronze Keys around their neck on a chain, and each one of them welcomed Tai home. At the same time, a couple of other spirits walked by, simply chuckling mockingly at the gathering. Both were tall slender men with black and blond hair in tank tops and with dog looking ears, otherwise identical . They each have a gold kry hanging around their necks. "Fucking brownies," said the blond one, clearly mocking the color of their Keys. Standing above all else far off in the distance was a tall, immaculate figure, watching over all with omnipotent eyes. A key hung around his neck that reflected all the colors of the light spectrum - prismatic.

As the two 'goldies' walked past, making their snide like remark, Tai suddenly realised he wasn't alone. He was slightly started, and awkwardly waved. "Oh... hi guys..." He glanced around, having seen some of these people before in his previous travels in the spirit world. He scratched his cheek softly, wondering why they were seemingly waiting for him. "Umm... you lot were expecting me?" He suddenly had a light bulb moment, perhaps they had somehow summoned him here, it made sense! "Hey why'd you all bring me back here? I was helping my friends!"
It was about then he noticed the large spirit king standing nearby, and blinked a few times. "Woah, hold up who he is? Big guy huh?" He shakes his head, slightly confused by everything that was happening.

The two girls quieted down when the gold key bearers made their remarks, as did the old man. All three of their eyes shot to the ground, as if they were royalty. Without saying another words, the trio stood silent until the gold kry bearers walked past.
The blond girl however was ready to raise a storm. Her face was red and the air around her seemed to get much, much thicker - but she quickly cooled down when addressing Tai. "Of course we didn't summon you, silly? This isn't Star Trek, we can't beam you up on whim. No, we've been waiting for you because you're the strongest bronze here! You can just sense when a spirit is coming back... Bizarre, huh?" Now she leaned in closer, and closer, and closer. Innocently as it were, she placed her hand on Tai's chest. Small beads of water formed in thin air around the duo and closed in on Tai's wounds, helping them healing faste, despite being here making wounds heal rapidly as it is. "That's the Spirit King, of course he's big... But they say his time is near... He has collected over 100 Keys, his power is spread so thin that he may die... Speaking of dying, whatever you did you need to stop doing. You were gone almost 6 minutes... Thats half a day in the human world... Did you run in to trouble ?"
The old man slowly looked up Tai, and just as slowly approached. "You know it is rather Rude to ask one of their daily activities, Styx. Be less forward. This young man has yet to understand what he is, I believe. He may not even remember his own death... Yes, son, I am Eros, these two young ones are Yama and Yami... Or is it Yami and Yama... Dear me... Oh and this is my dearest, Styx. She is very forwards... And yes, son, I am Hercules. It is a pleasure." This old man smiled quaintly at Tai, bowing very formally. "Have you an questions, son, please, do not hesitate to quiz. I'm sure Styx nor I would mind... After all, she seems to have taken quite the liking to you."
Without so much as a word, Styx looked down, her face growing red once again, but for another reason. She kept her hands on Tai, smiling all the while.
In suit with Hercules, the twin girls bowed as politely as they could to the man. They did so in perfect unisonz all the while holding each other's hands.

Tai glanced around at everyone's strange reaction to the other spirits, and shrugged it off. "I'm the strongest bronze huh? Well what makes them goldies so great anyway? I personally prefer silver myself." He let out a yawn, rubbing the back of his head as the cute blondie came up and started touching him. "So you guys could sense my arrival coming? But why did I even come back here in the first place if you didn't summon me? Was it the big guy?"
Tai noticed the girl was really starting to get up close an personally, but Tai didn't really mind. "Hey now, at least let me buy you a drink first!" He chuckled a little, "Only 6 minutes here huh? Well it looks like you missed me. I ran into a couple of old... umm... well they weren't really friends per say." He flailed his arms a little as he explained. "And then there was this demon thing that attacked us, and I had to kill it for them."
Tai then turned to the old man that didn't even seem to be able to remember his own name. "What are you talking about you senile old fool? What I am, my death?" Tai laughs at him, shaking his head. "Mate, I think you need to be more worried about who you are gramps, cause I'm clearly still kicking." At least he knew his place and bowed, along with the cute twins too.
He glanced over towards the spirit king again. "So he's dying huh How'd he get all those keys? What does he even do with them?" Tai wondered if this big old king could help him.

From atop the mound he stood upon, high above all else in this Celestial world, the king of all spirits, with his eternal gaze transcending though space and time to see all, his eyes never sending to focus on anything here in the present, took notice to one Spirit in particular with a bronze key. When Tai looked to this omnipotent being he would find that his gaze was returned. Before a thought could form, the king looked away in disinterest...
It was now that with the barrage of curiosity, Styx and Eros looked back and forth between one another while the twins giggled to themselves in a disturbing unison. Eros cleared his throat, as if to prompt Styx to finish. Perhaps her ladylike charms could help soften the blow to come...
"No, no one summoned you here, goof; the shackles that once kept us in place are gone. Whenever your path is unclear and you feel not as confident as you know you should, you will return here: home, however..." This is the part where Styx trailed off. Really, this was the best part to be more ambiguous about. To soften the blow what would need to be done? Well, he is a man, she thought. And with that thought she wrapped her arms around Tai, placing her body firmly against his own. She looked up at him, her lips right below his chin and her breath against his neck, and she whispered, "You died over 60 years ago..." Now that the hard part was over, she gently and slowly unlatched herself from Tai, taking a few steps back.
In hopes to keep Tai from potentially having a meltdown - as most do when they find out - Eros would continue where the answering left off, swiftly picking nup with, "And now that you are here, 60 years means nothing. Age is irrelevant. Most of the gold key bearers are thousands of years old, and we are all immune to it. As for the spirit king, he is the overseer of spirits, our true sovereign. He used to be a regular Spirit millions of years ago, but collected all the Celestial spirit gate keys. Whoever has the most powerful and numerous Keys can become the king.. But who would want to challenge that?" He cleared his throat once again, then pulled out a small pocket watch and examined it.
Now all four of the spirits surrounding Tai were starting at him, waiting to see the how he would react. The twins leaned closer, it seemed.

For a moment Tai looked eyes with the mighty spirit king, ruler of this world, yet he wasn't so great after all was he? It was just like the old man had said, he had started just like one of them, so why couldn't another rise up to fill the void he was about to create.
He smiled and gave the blondie a pet on the head, ruffling her hair slightly. "Sixty years you say huh? Well I guess that does make sense after all from what the other said when I was back there." He thought about everything, the final battle, his sudden appearance in this world, the passage of time compared to his friends. "Well I guess there is nothing I can do about it now, I sure hope they had a rocking funeral for me." He laughed happily, still taking the news with a large portion of shock, but he really was a new man now. "Now it just means I have a second chance."
Tai turned and pointed up towards the spirit king. "First task then, I'm gonna be the next spirit king!" He yelled over towards the giant of a spirit. "You hear that you old geezer! I'm coming for you, so you better be ready!" Tai then awkwardly glanced around at his friend, scratching his reddening cheeks. "So umm... how do I get more keys?" He chuckled a little, wondering just what he had signed himself up for. "Also, how do I get back to my world?"

The old man chortled heartily as this resolve Tai displayed. "Next Spirit king, eh? Fine then, we shall help you with that... As for the keys, you will find them all over the world. Many spirits that took the evil path became demons, and their Keys remain with them. Or you could always challenge another Spirit for their key... Once you have 50, you may stand aa fighting chance against the spirit king."
Styx walked up to Eros and gently smacked his arm, "Don't fill Tai's mind with goofy things like challenging the spirit king... Not even the gold key bearers can fight the spirit king one on one..." Then she looked at Tai and the unwavering determination in his eyes was clear, she could not deny this. She pointed towards the north, at a giant door. "If you insist, however, I suggest gathering a small band of friends and go Demon hunting. That's your best bet for Keys... If anyone can do it, I imagine you could... I haven't seen eyes like yours in a long time."
All the while these spirits chatted, multiple groups of spirits congregated... Each group seemed to ironically be key color exclusive, ranging from bronze, silver, gold to black. It was as if the keys determined the social cliches.
From atop his large mound, the spirit king continued to look onward with an unwavering gaze of solitude...

Tai seemed to nod a few times as he listened to the words of his new friends. "I see, fifty keys huh?" He turned to the old man, "By chance, what happens if the spirit loses their key when challenged? I suspect they die or something of the sort." He figured their keys were somehow tied to their lives as spirits, as they appeared to be immortal in someways.
Reaching out, Tai would give Styx's hair a playful ruffle. "It's hardly a goofy idea, it seems like the only logical thing to me." He looked down at his own key, which seemed to match those of his little band, also starting to pick that spirits seemed to group together according to their key types. "Say, are we stuck as Bronze casuals forever? Or do our keys evolve with time?" He peered closely that the Blonde woman's key. "I think Gold would look better on you, to match your hair. I want Silver or Black though."
Stretching a little as noted the nearby door. "Do you think our band is strong enough to take on some hunting? Or should we go try to recruit some more friends first?" He peered around at the groups, wondering if they could gather more like minded spirits.

Styx giggled as her hair was ruffled and immediately threw her arms around Tai and buried her face into his chest, smiling all the while.
Eros on the other hand grimaced slightly, only looking into the far off distance, as if there was something lost beyond sight that could not be retrieved. "You know, son, they say when creatures of strong magic bearings die, if they have a strong enough will to accomplish something before their soul moves on... They become a Celestial Spirit. However..." His tone darkened for a moment before he looked at the small twin girls, who smiled innocently, and Styx, who seemed lost in bliss... "However, we are those who failed our missions. We are together because we have no urge to keep going, yet our souls are burdened with eternity. Each of have nothing left to live for, yet cannot die..." He sighed, his gaze wandering helplessly back to the present. "Our Keys are representations of our strength. The stronger you grow, the stronger your key grows with you. No one can take your one key, but the excess Keys can of course be stolen or taken by force. You will never know how many Keys a spirit has unless you ask... And demons, may or may not have a key. if you take theirs, they will die."
At the mention of all of this, Styx would lose her smile, it being replaced by sullen complacency. The twins as well would look down, a certain disgrace masking their faces .

Tai happily hugged them woman in return, rather enjoying the attention and feeling of her soft body against his own. Wrapping one arm around her back, he pulled her chest every so closer to his own. "I like this one, can I keep her?" He chuckled softly as he uttered the words.
He looked back towards the old man, and gave a little nod. "So what were your missions then? Have you succeeded? Are you still working towards them? Or have you given up, and burdened yourselves instead of taking this second chance?" He eyed the old man squarely in the eyes, interested to find out. After a moment he would also glance at the others to allow them to know he was asking them too. "If we are to be a team, then we best all be on the same page, and well informed."
Tai let out a soft sigh though, "I wish I knew demons may have keys... I would have checked the one I killed during my trip back to the real world. Mind you, I didn't know I was looking for them then either." He shrugged. "But from know on I know, we'll be sure to get plenty if it's all five of us. And who knows what other friends we'll meet along the way." He smiled happily, and hoped he could cheer the other up. "This is why we have to stick together, and help each other."

It was at the remembrance of each of their missions that a certain disparity ran its course, each of them going from sullen complacency to outright disparaged. A moment of awkward silence filled the air after Tai talked, and taking the reins of this situation Eros broke thee silence. "Yami and Yama once had a third, younger sibling, and in order to protect the small boy they gave their lives multiple times... But his life was taken by a dark guild called Derelequit and its associates... My main prerogative was to protect my wife and children, but dragons saw to it that that would not happen... As for Styx -" Eros was cut off immediately, Styx breaking from Tai's embrace and sighing, "I had a husband once, dozens of years ago. He was just like you... Determined, forthright, honest, kind, and strong... He was my hero, but he was slain years ago... His name was Kaito, he was the guild Master of the most powerful guild of his time. He was taken too soon..." And the silence resumed temporarily, before Eros cut back in. "As you can see, we're not up for travels anymore. Our time has passed. You must go on, show us what you can do, what you're made of... Make your dreams come true, son."
It was then that the door would be opened by another Spirit, but stayed open, as of beckoning for one more denizen of the Spirit World .

Listened boredly to their sob stories, which were just fill of excuses, and let out a loud sigh. "Oh poor you, everything didn't go to plan. So you're all just gonna sit around here and mope away the rest of eternity then? Pathetic." He took a few steps away from the group, when Styx's words finally hit him. "Oh wait, Kaito, Oppa's son. I guess he did take over the guild didn't he?"
He started walking away again, but as he did he lifted up his shirt, revealing the Raven Call guild mark on his left shoulder. "That guy sure did a good job of hiding you all that time, I never remember seeing you once." He stopped in his tracks, and glanced back at her. "But if he fell he was weak, especially if the guild went with him as you make it sound." He shook his head. "Just one more goal then, to bring back the guild and protect my friends unlike I was able to in the past. I'll make Oppa proud."
Once again Tai resumed his path towards the beckoning door, but left this band with some last words before he was out of earshot. "You have two choices, continue down your path of regret and sorrow, or start again, find new goals and dreams to work towards. When I return you can tell me your choice, but either way you will help." He smirked a little, facing the door. "You will join me at my side, or you will give me your keys in challenge. Either way you will provide me the assistance I need."
With that he strode towards the great gate, wondering what was in store for him.

All the time, one among the many spirits had been waiting silently . All their talk had been tiring and the male almost slipped into a daze. This was until this young lad decided to be bold! The youth's words enticed a chuckle from the male and he slowly stepped out of his shady hideout, lifting a single finger as he did so. The index finger of his pointed at the ground and as soon as Tai stepped on it feet would find solid slick ice. an attempt to trip him.
"Jeez,Kiddo, you didn't grow an inch. At least your heart did" , the stranger said as he slowly got into view. His hand gently rubbed the scar across his neck.
"Mind ya, would ya let an old friend join?", Jamato grinned at Tai wondering whether he still remembered or not.
